The inaugural “WestK FunFest” in 2024 was a great success, attracting over 65,000 participants and appealing to both children and adults. The second edition of WestK FunFest will offer a series of nearly a hundred family-oriented activities. Highlight events include the international debut of Pollinator, a large-scale outdoor art installation co-created by the renowned American artist Alex Schweder and Ward Shelly.
Carnival of the Animals, a spellbinding multimedia reimagining of Camile Saint-Saëns’ classical work by internationally renowned Australian contemporary circus Circa.
La bulle, a staged within a gigantic transparent bubble tent, tells the story of Pierrot, the timeless loner and dreamer, portrayed by artistic director David Danzon through a mesmerising blend of mime, dance, text and drawing.
Additionally, Time Keeps The Drummer is a new immersive theatre experience created collaboratively by UK arts company Fevered Sleep and local artists and children.
2024年首屆「西九家FUN藝術節」廣受大小朋友歡迎，吸引超過6.5萬名觀眾參與。第二屆「西九家FUN藝術節」除了由著名美國藝術家Alex Schweder和Ward Shelley共同策劃的大型戶外藝術裝置《輪居》（Pollinator），還有近百場合家歡藝術節目，包括來自澳洲的國際知名當代雜技團Circa結合馬戲和多媒體，以奇幻迷人的方式呈現聖桑的《動物嘉年華》；加拿大舞蹈劇團CORPUS將在藝術公園海濱西草坪上演獲獎無數的默劇表演《抱泡》（La bulle），藝術總監David Danzon將化身孤獨的夢想家皮皮，一人置身於大型透明泡泡裝置裡面上演童話般的動人默劇；西九還會聯同英國藝團Fevered Sleep以及本地的藝術家和小朋友，合力完成一個全新的沉浸式劇場體驗《時間鼓守》。
