Xie Xiaoze: The Archaeology of Knowledge is the artist’s debut at Alisan Fine Arts and his first solo exhibition in Hong Kong. It presents a selection of thought-provoking oil paintings, ink on paper and resin and porcelain sculptures—primarily drawing from Xie’s acclaimed Chinese Library series and Amber of History series, most created in recent years. These works excavate the ancient poetics and contemporary relevance of books and knowledge.
Open to the public from Wednesday to Saturday. Special direct shuttle buses are available on 27-30 March.
